Prologue: Happy Human Olympics

This comics project was launched on EvilAICartoons.com during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which actually took place between 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo. The games were delayed by one full year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which all but halted all international travel.

As we all enjoy the Olympic Games Tokyo, let us hope this tradition will continue for many years to come, allowing us to celebrate humanity’s achievement and the desire to better ourselves.

Fifty years from now, the world will be different in many ways. Machines will permeate many aspects of our lives. Let us hope that even if Artificial Intelligence and Robotics alleviates us from dangerous and physically demanding jobs, they spare elite sports, which are arguably the most physically demanding jobs, because they push humans to their absolute limit.

Here is to a future in which more and more of our challenges are by choice, not compulsion.
